The Digital Literacy Development Model for Higher Vocational College Teachers in Guangxi

Abstract
The objectives of this research was to develop the digital literacy development model for higher vocational college teachers in Guangxi. The researcher conducted a literature review and conducted detailed interviews with 21 senior experts in the field to find out the current situation and defects of digital literacy of teachers in higher vocational colleges in Guangxi. Then, the researchers adopted the rigorous Delphi method, and successfully constructed a development model suitable for the improvement of digital literacy of teachers in higher vocational colleges in Guangxi through two rounds of careful investigation and repeated demonstration of the same 21 experts. In addition, the researchers organized a focus group discussion, gathered the wisdom of 9 authoritative experts, conducted a comprehensive and in-depth evaluation of the development model, and finally extracted a logical and practical development model, which has 9 themes and 105 development models, and provided comprehensive guidance for promoting the progress of teachers' digital literacy. The research results found that the model could improve knowledge average from 21 students at more than 70 percent. In addition, comparing the group of students who used the traditional teaching method with the students who used the model, all students who used the model had higher knowledge test scores than the students who used the traditional teaching method, with an average score that was 14 percent higher.
